Located on Dubai Islands' prestigious waterfront, STUDIOMINT was commissioned to create sophisticated interior spaces that would complement the building's distinctive wave-inspired architecture. The Brief
Dubai Islands was emerging as the emirate's premier luxury waterfront destination, with The Tides serving as a flagship residential development. STUDIOMINT's brief was to design interiors for this 50-unitdevelopment that would seamlessly blend Miami's relaxed coastal aesthetic with Dubai's expectation for cutting-edge luxury. The challenge was to create interior spaces across 1-bedroom to 3-bedroom residences that would maximise the building's extraordinary 360-degree views—from Dubai's glittering skyline to pristine beach vistas—while establishing a cohesive design language that honoured both the natural flow of the ocean and the sophisticated lifestyle aspirations of discerning international residents.
The Approach
The challenge was solved by developing an interior design philosophy that mirrored the building's "Flow of Life" concept,drawing inspiration from both Dubai Islands' natural beauty and Miami's coastal design heritage. We created interiors that seamlessly integrate indoor and outdoor living, utilizing a harmonious palette of light, warmth, and natural textures. Premium materials including light-toned woods, stone with subtle veining, handcrafted woven elements, and Venetian plaster work together to create spaces that feel both grounded in nature and elevated in luxury. The design maximizes panoramic water views through strategic placement and unobstructed sight lines, while curated lighting enhances the natural illumination flooding through floor-to-ceiling windows.
